Repairs to the storm damaged roof of North Woodside Leisure Centre in Moncrieff Street have now been completed. Workmen are now re-grouting the entire pool so that water can be introduced and the new filtration system checked.
It was intended that the fully staffed pool would re-open to the public on 18th November this year, but some problems have come to light with the pool itself. Specialist contractors are investigating, and Woodside residents will be notified on this website as soon as a revised opening date is set.
The project has included glass replacements of the roof lights, redecoration at high level, new poolside showers, repainting of all columns and balustrades and an upgrade to lighting. The health suite has also been fully refurbished and is available for use now.
These works have had a visibly stunning effect on what is one of the finest examples of a fully restored Victorian baths in Glasgow. All Woodside residents and businesses are urged to make full use of this unique facility when it re-opens.
