A full controlled junction is to be installed at the intersection of Napiershall Street and Maryhill Road immediately outside Community Central Hall. The plan for three way traffic and pedestrian lights includes dropped kerbs for the disabled and sensor loops to monitor traffic and automatically adjust light timing.
A traffic regulation order is required and will involve moving, shortening and eliminating some of the parking and loading bays in Napiershall Street. If there are no objections to these proposals the junction equipment will installed and operational by the spring of 2015.
Objections can be made to the adjustment of parking or loading bays, but not to the junction proposals per se. Affected Woodside residents and businesses should contact Mr John Sharkey of Glasgow City Council Land and Environmental Services at 231 George Street for more information.
