Festive Lights for St Georges Cross

The trees at St Georges Cross are to be lit this Christmas by Glasgow City Council at the request of your Community Council using hundreds of coloured and white lights. The coloured ones will twinkle during the festive season and will then be removed. The white lamps will not twinkle and may be left in place and used to illuminate St Georges Cross at night for the rest of 2009. This will depend on public reaction and running cost.
