Parking Controls for Napiershall
Residents in the Napiershall zone of Woodside have voted by three to two to approve the introduction of parking restrictions. This result from the recent survey of West Glasgow households means that all streets between Great Western Road and North Woodside Road and between the River Kelvin and Napiershall Street will have daytime vehicle parking controls like the rest of Woodside.
Glasgow City Council are now preparing proposals which will be viewed first by our local councillors. The plans will designate parking and loading bays and meter positions and will ready for public consultation early in 2009. The fees proposed are likely to be the same as neighbouring zones, which is £50 per annum for residents and £700 for businesses. Dependent on the number of comments or objections to the detail in the plans the traffic orders should enacted by the Council and the controls be in place before the end of 2009.
