Napiershall School

Do you remember the old Napiershall School from your childhood, or do you know of someone who might ? The building in Napiershall Street served the local community as a primary school for 80 years from 1890 and is still in use today as offices and as a multicultural centre for disadvantaged or partially disabled persons.

Unfortunately although much of the original classroom and educational architecture is remarkably intact there are now pressing fabric repair issues in external areas. The building is managed by City Property on behalf of Glasgow City Council, and they and your Communty Council are anxious to ensure that funds are allocated to maintain this fine example of Woodside’s heritage.

Our hope is to set up in one of the classrooms a heritage exhibition with oral and pictorial testimonies from former pupils and teachers. So if you attended Napiershall School or know of someone who did then please contact us here.
