Community Safety Glasgow (CSG) is working alongside the Community Council here in Woodside to improve our neighbourhood and public gardens. Improvements to the communal central area in Burnbank Gardens have been undertaken in July by CSG at the instigation of your Community Council and Glasgow Life and the Salvation Army staff in Burnbank House.
Works under way comprise a clean up of the perimeter wall, the removal of dead foliage inside the garden and trimming and crown thinning of the shrubs and trees. When this is complete the new look will be enhanced by the repainting in black of the entire perimeter fence and gates.
CSG works in partnership with a broad range of other agencies and services including Glasgow City Council and other organisations within the Council family, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, as well as a wide range of third sector organisations across the City. CSG aim to make a positive difference to communities across Glasgow through partnership working, focussing on a wide range of crime prevention, antisocial behaviour and community safety issues. More information about their services can be found on their website here.
