New Parking Questionnaire

Glasgow City Council are sending a questionnare to 40,000 addresses in the west of the city to gauge public opinion on the need for more parking controls. The consultation exercise approved by councillors asks four simple questions of residents and businesses about their wish for the introduction or not of parking regulation. It is hoped to issue the questionnaire on 18th April with returns not later than 16th May.

All streets in Woodside not currently controlled are included in the survey, from North Woodside Road in the west to Raeberry Street and the Canalside in the north. Times and charges for these areas would be identical to the existing scheme. Even if a majority of returned questionnaires support parking controls, it would take a further year for the consultation and traffic order procedures to be completed.
